Elks Care - Elks Share in Southern California
Work Party
Saturday, February 13, 2021

Good Morning, the Escondido Lodge is planning a work party on Saturday, February 13th. We have several projects in mind.

Number one project is to relocate the Lodge Ritual Equipment and the Boy Scout Troop’s Equipment from the Lodge Room
and Main Dining room storage area and swapping with the location of the Lodge extra table storage area. This will require moving
about 30 – 40 tables and about 60 chairs. Each area will need to be vacuumed and cleaned up. I imagine this project will
take the better part of 3 to 4 hours and some physical effort.

There are a number of flags the Lodge and Boy Scouts use for Ritual Ceremonies. They all need a protective sleeve
to keep them clean and in good repair. If someone ownes a sewing machine and is willing to sew about 12 or so sleeves,
a Lodge Member has offered to pay for the required material and thread.

The third project is not a fun one. The Lodge irrigation and Lodge water supply meter boxes are filled with dirt from gopher activity.
We need that dirt removed. You will need a narrow shovel and trowel. A wheelbarrow will be provided. This will take the better part of 2 hours.

Another project is to solder a connector to the Lodge PA system speakers. The connector will be provided. We need your expertise
and about 40 to 50 minutes of your time.

Finally, we need to reinstall the cover to our patio area tent. 30 minutes of time and four volunteers will make quick work of this project.

The coordinator of these projects are Trustee Jim Arnold and Lodge Esquire Bob Whittaker. They welcome any help and any
ime you can lend to these projects and improvements. You can contact Bob via text or call his mobile phone 408-833-4292
or via e-mail at rwhittzend@aol.com.

We plan to get started between 9 or 9:30 AM. Coffee will be provided. Hamburgers are available for lunch.

Thank you for any time and help you can spare.

Fraternally,
Exalted Ruler Eva Hafezi
