We have a Directors meeting tomorrow — Wednesday, April 7th — with a House meeting to follow. The meetings start at 5:30pm. The bar will be open around 4:30pm and there will be snacks available at around 5:00pm. (Snacks will include baked ham sandwiches — made with some of the best baked ham ever!)
On Friday, April 9th, our bar will open at 4:00pm. Dinner will be served from 5:30pm until 7:00pm.
The menu features Chicken Teriyaki and includes rice, salad and a dessert. Our own Diane Allen
is our “chef in charge” for Friday night. Our dinners still cost only $12 — including tax and tip.
Saturday morning, April 10th, our bar will open at 10:30am. Hamburgers are served from 11:00am until 1:00pm. We expect some relaxation of regulations by that time — which means you can probably help yourself to the fixings — lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, etc. — we might also be spared from trying to open those little packs of mayo, mustard & catsup.
The Corvettes will be our chefs for Saturday.
Looking ahead: We have a Lodge meeting scheduled for next Wednesday — April 14th— bar opens around 5:00pm —light meal served at 6:00pm —
and the meeting starts at 7:00pm.
Looking ahead: “The Veterans Stand Down” will be held in Escondido next week — beginning Thursday 4/15 and lasting trough Sunday 4/18. Many of our Elks members volunteer to assist some of the needy Veterans during that time. If you wish to volunteer — save the date — more information will follow.
Looking ahead: The CVMA Poker Run is next Saturday — 4/17. Our parking lot will be full of motorcycles — and there will be a fun time at our Lodge.
Looking ahead: We have a fishing trip scheduled for Thursday — June 3rd. Our Lodge has chartered a fishing boat at Oceanside Harbor. We expect to sail at 8:00am and return at 4:00pm. We have only six spaces left — please contact the office or call Glen Foss if you wish to join the group. The cost is $120.
