Elks Care - Elks Share in Southern California

We are expecting several honored guests to join us for tonight’s Friday Night Dinner at the Lodge. 

Because we plan to present a $4,000 tonight gift from our Lodge to the Veteran’s Administration hospital in La Jolla 
—  several patients from the VA hospital will also be our guests for our tonight’s dinner.

 Our menu tonight will be salad, lasagna, garlic bead and a dessert. The cost is $15 and we will be serving from 5:30 until 7:00pm. 
We expect our presentation and festivities will occur about 6:30pm.

Another big surprise for tonight is  the 9/11 truck — we are honored that the 9/11 truck will be staying at our Lodge for tonight and tomorrow.

And we have another big day planned for tomorrow — Saturday — September 11th. 

The Corvettes will again have their “Cars & Burgers” Saturday — and they have invited the Corvette Club of Temecula to join them. 
Expect a big crowd — lots of Corvettes — lots of fun. 

Our bar will open tomorrow morning at 10:00am —we will be serving burgers from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Plan to arrive early.

Tomorrow Night we will have a Country Western Dance — The music will be furnished by “BarbedWire”.
There will be Country Western two step dance lessons starting at 6:30pm –and open dancing from 7:30pm until 10:00pm.
Admission for the lessons and for the dancing is $12 — except that Elks who show their cards are admitted for $10.

Sunday morning — September 12th —our Lodge is having a fund raising breakfast from 8:30 until 11:00am. 

Terry Hache is in charge and she will have several breakfast menus to choose from — expect great food — with again — great people.

This Sunday breakfast will be a fund raiser with 100% of our proceeds going to one of our Elk charities.

Next Saturday Night — September 18th — our Escondido Elks Lodge Players will present “Homicide on The Range”. This will be a dinner theatre— a murder mystery
— with audience participation — “who dun it?”
Valuable prizes will be awarded for those who solve the mystery.
Since this is a dinner we will need to know how many to plan for — please make your reservations now by calling the Lodge office.

And do not forget that we have chartered a bus to watch the Padres play baseball on Sunday — September 26th. 
The bus leaves our Lodge at 11:30am and returns after the game. 

Your cost of $65 includes round trip bus transportation — choice reserved seats for the game — also snacks — sodas — beer and wine 
available on the bus. Call the Lodge office now and reserve your seats.
