The following is the schedule for this coming week at YOUR Escondido Elks Lodge.
Wednesday — March 16th — Board of Directors meeting at 5:30pm. (All Elk members invited to attend.)
Thursday — March 17th — The Lodge opens at 4:00pm for Game Night at the Lodge. In addition to the
usual games there will also be something different — Nina Alioto is hosting a Mexican game night —
and will teach a game called “Mexican Train”— which she assures us is “easy” to learn —
there might also be a monopoly game if there is enough interest — call Nina at 858-676-1976
for more details.
Friday — March 18th — We will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at the Lodge — our menu will feature
corned beef and cabbage, carrots and potatoes. Linda will be preparing her famous Pistachio (green) cake.
All for $15. We will also be celebrating all of our March birthdays. (Green hairdos are optional.)
Saturday — March 19th — Richard will have the bar open at 10:30am — we will be serving burgers from 11:00am until 1:00pm.
Our Saturday morning crowds have been increasing — resulting in more people and more fun. The Golfers are in charge of burgers his week
— they always have more fun than anyone else. Cheeseburgers are still only $6 — and include an order of fries.
(What a deal!)
Saturday Night — March 19th — Our Wine Pairing Dinner. Please note that tickets will NOT be sold at the door —
please call the Lodge office now for reservations. We already have advance reservations for almost 50 people and expect
many more reservations this week. (See page #1 of your March Elkherd for more information about this six course meal —
Including wine tasting with each.)
Sunday — March 20th — The Lodge will be open for the CVMA breakfast beginning at 8:30am — with a CVMA planning meeting to follow
until around noon or so. We will also have our Sunday Dance as usual on the 20th starting at 2:00pm and ending at 5:00pm.
Music will be by “Brown Sugar”. This will be the first time this group has provided music at our Lodge — but they have had great reviews from
their other venues and we are looking forward to listening and dancing to their music. We continue to charge $12 per to attend our
Sunday Dances — except that Elks — who show their cards — are admitted for $10.
Monday — Mach 21st — The Lodge opens at 4:00pm for Card Night.
We are looking forward to seeing you at YOUR Lodge!
